We are getting in early with a BIG List Of Kids Movies 2019

Already there are some incredible titles announces and finally…..Toy Story 4!!

The fourth film in the Toy Story series will be out June 21, 2019.


PDA = The List Of Kids Movies 2019 also includes titles for older teens, parental discretion is advised. I don’t recommend taking young kids to a few of these titles.


Dragon Ball Super “Broly” – The Dragon Ball Z Animated Series “Dragon Ball” super will give birth to an animated movie in 2019, this is rumoured to be a limited release and may not feature in Australian cinemas.

The Kid Who Would Be King –Arthurian legend gets a PG twist in this movie about a 12-year-old who unknowingly pulls the famed sword from the stone, setting him on a path to fight the evil Morgana.

HellBoy (PDA) – This is a reboot and with no classification, it’s not yet clear if it will be suitable for older teens. David Harbour will play the role of Hellboy.

A Dog’s Way Home – A rescue dog plays the role of Bella whois separated from her owner, Lucas. Stars Ashley Judd. (release date rumoured Jan 11th)


The Lego Movie 2 has revealed its title, and it’s so delightfully on the nose you’ll instantly fall in love with the franchise all over again. Warner Bros. confirmed that The LEGO Movie 2 will now and forever be known as The LEGO Movie Sequel. Cinema Blend

X-Men – Dark Phoenix (PDA) – American superhero film based on Marvel Comics’ X-Men characters.

How To Train Your Dragon : The Hidden World – As Hiccup fulfills his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, Toothless’ discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away. When danger mounts at home and Hiccup’s reign as village chief is tested, both dragon and rider must make impossible decisions to save their kind. – Screen Rant

MARCH 2019

Amusement Park (Wonder Park)

This movie is actually a feature comedy (with a screenplay and plot and all) and it’s about a crazy guy who designs and operates his own low-rent theme park with his friends, “where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun. – First Showing

Captain Marvel – Starring Brie Larson and Jude Law, Captain Marvel has a 118.6 million budget and is set to release on 8 March, 2019. Samuel L. Jackson will continue to play the role of Nick Fury.

APRIL 2019

Dumbo – Dumbo is reinvented from a animated movie to star a cast of humans! Starring Colin Farrell, Eva Keaton, Eva Green and Danny Devito

Shazam! is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is intended to be the seventh installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Release is expected to be April 5, 2019. – Wikipedia

Missing Link is a mismatched buddy adventure where an explorer looking for respect from his peers is teamed up with a Bigfoot/Yeti-type creature named Mr. Link.

DisneyNature. Every year Disney releases a documentary about one of the planet’s most amazing creatures. This year Disneynature is all about penguins.

Avengers – End Game

End Game promises to bring resolution to the conflict between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Thanos, the Mad Titan, which began in this year’s Infinity War.

We know almost nothing about what will happen in the film, but the upcoming Captain Marvel (see above) will likely provide some clues, and considering this will mark the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “phase three,” we’ll probably end up saying good-bye to a few more characters. – Rotten Tomatoes

MAY 2019

Ugly Dolls:Based on the popular stuffed toy, Ugly Dolls Movie brings them to live.

Minecraft:  based on the video game “Minecraft”. A lot of the details are still under wraps for now though, we know Steve Carrell looks to be taking the role of “Steve”. I’m hoping this is NOT going to be a situation like “Pixel” was (Adam Sandler) and they are doing a style similar to the Lego Movie franchise.

Detective Pikachu – The Pokemon animated film will feature will feature Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu. Directed by Rob Letterman, the film also stars Justice Smith & Suki Waterhouse.

Men In Black Spinoff (PDA) – Starring BOTH the Hemsworth brothers, this will be the 4th sequel for Men In Black. The franchises revival will not include Will Smith (cry face).

Aladdin – Will Smith will play the Genie which was originally voiced by William Robinson. The live action adaptation is due to release May 24, 2019. Cast: Alladin: Mena Massoud & Princess Jasmine: Naomi Scott.

Godzilla: King of Monsters (PDA) –  May 31, 2019

JUNE 2019

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 – The 2016 film was a solid hit for Universal, making $875 million at the box office on a $75 million budget with the sequel set for a June 2019 release.

Toy Story 4 – The Toy Story 4 film director, Josh Cooley, has confirmed the June 21st 2019 release date in the US via his Twitter account. Toy Story 4 Superbowl Teaser.

JULY 2019

Spider-Man: Far From Home (PDA) – After the epic reboot of Spiderman in “Homecoming” the next film in the series is due to release on July 5, 2019.

The Lion King – Not a lot is known yet about this film, with a lot of fan made trailers swirling around there is a lot of buzz. I will update when I know more. Cast:  Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, Alfre Woodar

The New Mutants (PDA) – This movie is centred around the “Next Gen” of  X-Men and features young mutants imprisoned in a facility. Release Date: August 2, 2019


Playmobil The Movie – The live-action/animation hybrid will follow a pair of siblings as they venture into Playmobil world. Cast: Meghan Trainor, Adam Lambert, and Daniel Radcliffe.


Dora & The Lost City Of Gold

I like what they have done with this, It’s got a bit of a Jumanji vibe. I don’t miss the cartoons now that my little ones have grown out of them, this Dora is welcome at my house 👌

In Cinemas September 19

The Angry Birds Movie 2 – Sony Pictures and Rovio Entertainment are once again joining forces on The Angry Birds Movie 2, and today they announced an all-star cast of new and returning talent for the flightless birds and scheming green pigs as they take their beef to the next level. – Coming Soon

Sonic The Hedgehog – Rumoured that this is NOT animated and will be a live adaptation. I just cant…even…will wait for more information.

Abominable – The storyline of a group of teenagers who want to reunite an Abominable Snowman with its family. Cast includes Chloe Bennet (Agents of Shield), Albert Tsai, Tsai Chin and Tenzing Norgay Trainor

Spies in Disguise – Featured Voice Cast: Will Smith, Tom Holland.


The Addams Family – The animated reboot is directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, previously the directors of Sausage Party.

Cast includes Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney. It is set to be released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on October 11, 2019.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – Rumoured to be released in October


Frozen 2 is currently set for release on November 27, 2019. This is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2019, which is a release date that Disney has had nailed down for years. – Cinema Blend

Margie Claus – Mellisa McCarthy plays Mrs Clause in a Christmas Movie.

 Sonic The Hedgehog – Starring Jim Carrey. Theres a lot of criticism surround this movie already. I will update once a full length trailer is available.


Jumanji 2 – Not a lot of info yet…but…YEAH BOY! Can’t wait. Jack Black has been featuring some of the behind the scenes filming in his Youtube Videos on “Jablinksi Games”.

Star Wars: Episode IX (PDA) – Star Wars: Episode IX is an upcoming 2019 film set to be directed by J.J. Abrams from a script by Abrams and Chris Terrio. It will be the third and final film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
