What Is Unique About This Park?
GJ Walter park has some interesting trees with a hollow bottom, makes a great photo opportunity if your little one is small enough. The park has a huge grass area which is awesome for a game of cricket. You can also straight into the Grandview Hotel from this park which has water views while you eat.
You can check the tide times HERE.
I’ve spent a lot of playdates and BBQs at this park.
My tips are to avoid it on a very windy day, it seems to catch the worst of it. Be wary that when swimming the mud is quite thick further out, kids could get stuck. Also beware of stingers which are present around the bay at random times, usually you will find warning signs.
