Parks & Playgrounds

One of Adelaide more unique play areas is the Hindmarsh Square Playground which has sculpture installations that children under 12 can explore.
Semaphore Twilight Markets
The Twilight Markets are on the beautiful Semaphore foreshore Friday nights during December and January each year from 6-9pm.
Free craft workshops each week entertain the kids with Bugs’n’Slugs.

The South Australian Whale Centre

Cool Off With A Swim
If you don’t want to hit the coast and prefer to cool off at the pool Adelaide has several pools and a large Aquatic Centre, Check out Play & Go’s round up of Adelaide pools HERE.
The Aquatic Centre has a 50 Lap Pool, leisure pool and dive pool. The centre has a cafe in the front foyer area. Family change rooms are available and disability access is available. Adult Entry is $8.20
and Children prices are $6.50.

The Platform Light & Sounds Show
The Platform has train rides, railway displays, outdoor games and more.
From The Platform Website: “All aboard…” take the train ride through the historic farmyard and out into the open paddock of this Adelaide Hills property. Travel through farm buildings, past sheep and cattle and the old gum trees.
The Platform has a Light & Sounds Show running until March. The Platform 1 Light and Sound Show depicts early German settlement in the Adelaide Hills and describes how they forged their farming and family life in this new land. The show goes for approx 1 Hour.
Tickets are $20 for an adult and $15 for a child

Christmas Carousel, Rundle Mall
Rundle Mall has hosted a Christmas Carousel near the Gawler Place Canopy as well as other Christmas activities available.
