What You Can Expect At Redlands Libraries

Redland City – AKA The Redlands – has four main libraries in the area. Despite being fairly south of Brisbane city, local Redlands libraries have some seriously awesome events throughout the year. Each week regular activities are held and every holiday’s different workshops are on offer.

Some of the events I have attended at Redlands Libraries are Sand Wizard workshops, Dinosaur Craft, Super Hero Dress Up & Story Day – These are just a few to mention. The library activities in the Redlands seem to get better each year now including more for older kids to do such as Coding workshops.

Where are the Libraries in the Redlands?

Cleveland Library Located on Bloomfield Street, Cleveland (corner of Middle Street)

The Cleveland Library is surrounded by paved courtyard so if you need to eat a packed lunch before or after an event there’s plenty of space and seating. Across from the library down the stairs, you can easily get to the Marina which has a grassed area, ice cream store and a candy shop for a school holiday treat.

Further up Bloomfield Street, you can burn off some energy at the small play area which has recently been refurbished. There are public toilets both at the library and behind this Bloomfield Street Play Area.

Victoria Point Library Located On 7-15 Bunker Road, Victoria Point

The Victoria Point Library has decent parking behind the building. The Library is a short walk from the shopping centre and is next door to the Victoria Point Cinemas & Gaming Arcade. The library is surrounded by coffee shops and a bakery if you need to grab a bite to eat. Plenty of seating available & Telstra Air Wifi as well as free Wifi inside.

Capalaba Library is on 14 Noeleen Street, Capalaba

The Capalaba Library has plenty of parking close by as it is between two major shopping centres. There is a large grass area out the front and a water feature if you would like to take a packed lunch for after your activities.

Capalaba Central is behind the library and also hosts activities during School Holidays. The Capalaba Library has a major Bus Station very close for public transport users. If you are looking to extend your library visit into going to a park afterward Capalaba Regional Park is a short drive away.

Libraries On The Islands & Redlands Mobile Library

There are four libraries spread out over the Bay Islands. You can find the details of each one on the Local Council web page.
