Cacao & Chia ~ Superfood Takeover….
I use Chia & Cacao. I’m not a Superfood Nut, I’m not fully organic. I don’t live in a commune (I have thought about it though). I like to try new things, especially if they benefit my health. Plus I need to balance out the occasional doughnut and ice cream I love to eat.
One thing I have noticed though is the opinion that Cacao and Chia amount other fancy seeds etc. is that these super foods are all a big money-making scheme. Okay so yeah I agree the marketing gets a bit full of itself but the expense isn’t as bad as it looks.
A bag of Chia & Other Superfood Products = $15 at the most and you use around 2-3 tablespoons in a smoothie. I’ve been on the same bag for quite a while now! One thing I like about it is it provides texture which chances are if you landed here you know about ASD kids, Fussy Kids and Food Textures.
Some like Smooth, some like grainy. I prepare one most morning for my son who struggles at school and has an extremely high metabolism. If he doesn’t eat regularly he becomes pale and often irritated. If you have a child with anxiety chances are they find it difficult to eat at school. This tops my child up before he leaves for school. Sometimes I send him to school with one in a disposable cup.
Try it. Most Superfoods are full of Anti-Oxidants. There is nothing to lose!

- Kiwi Fruit
- Chia Seeds
- Vanilla Protein Powder
